Adopt a Widow
I thought about how different demographics of women are supported in other climes. In some countries, single mothers are given an allowance. I thought of how it will be great if widows in Nigeria could get an allowance every month. Through our foundation over 35 widowed families have been adopted by different individuals and they are being supported with an income every month Basically donors can look through our date base and pick any widowed family they would like to support. It has been so successful since its inception in June 2022 and the lives of widows are being changed. You can go through our widows list to adopt.

When a young woman becomes widow a lot of responsibility falls on her shoulders. She becomes enveloped with the challenges of life including raising young children. She forgets she is still beautiful, wanted and valued. Society encourages her to hide and she forgets what it is like to have fun. that is the objective of date a widow. Once a month, I take a widow out on a proper date, much like when a man takes a woman out. I tailor the date to meet the specific need of the widow. I get a car to pick her up, take her shopping, wine and dine her at a beautiful restaurant, get her to unburden and talk to me about anything and I send her home with more food. It is an opportunity for me to make another widow sis feel seen, loved, beautiful and validated and to remind her that God loves her.

Sweet November Brunch
In November 2023, we organized the "Sweet November Brunch" for Eleven (11) Widows who lost their husbands between January and November 2023. We invited an integrative therapist (Murielle John Michelle) to help them learn how to process their grief. Some methods including the therapy technique where one screams into a pillow is often associated with a form of catharsis, a release of pent-up emotions; it informally referred to as "Pillow scream therapy" or "Scream therapy". This practice is taught to provide a physical and emotional outlet for stress, frustration or intense emotions, allowing individuals to express themselves in a controlled and private manner. They were also given beautiful gifts like foodstuffs, household items, feminine hygiene products and jewelry.
